We are pleased to invite you to the international IIR THERMAG XI conference, to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from June 7 to 11, 2026. The conference is organized by the University of Ljubljana in collaboration with the International Institute of Refrigeration, the Slovenian Energy Association, and the Chinese Association of Refrigeration. It will cover a wide range of solid-state disciplines and aims to promote technology transfer across these fields. The conference will focus on materials and their device applications, including cryogenics, refrigeration, heat pumping, energy harvesting, thermal management, thermal storage, and sensorics.

The main topics of the conference will be divided into different sessions, as follows: Magnetocalorics or thermomagnetics, Electrocalorics and pyroelectrics, Mechanocalorics and thermomechanics, Multicalorics and multi-pyro, Thermoelectrics and magneto-thermoelectrics, Solid-state thermal storage, Solid-state laser cooling, Spincaloritronics, Thermal control devices and Other solid-state materials and related technologies.

During the conference, we plan to organize various networking events tailored for different groups, such as women in science and student-focused gatherings. Moreover, to enhance scientific and technological collaboration, we will arrange face-to-face meetings to facilitate matchmaking between diverse stakeholders.

Given the large number of ongoing international projects, THERMAG XI will serve as a key platform for meeting, dissemination, and communication among all participants. The conference also offers opportunities to promote services and products provided by industries, financial institutions, and research organizations.

Furthermore, we aim to significantly foster technology transfer, which will help bring numerous potential new applications to future markets.
